Larry Folk, ALA is a registered Architect in the state of Ohio and also operates a licensed architectural firm in South Carolina. My architectural firms specialize in custom/semi-custom single family, empty-nester, major additions/renovations, multi-family homes and light commercial projects. I have over 50 years of experience designing homes and working with some of the best builders and the most demanding Architectural Review Boards in the greater central Ohio area as well as on Seabrook and Kiawah Islands in South Carolina.
I have been involved with the design and building of 100’s of homes, from production entry level homes to custom homes, in the most prestigious communities.
Over the years I have won numerous design awards from the National Association of Home Builders, the Ohio Home Builders Association and my local Building Industry Association of Central Ohio.

I work closely with clients to understand their goals, explore possibilities and explain parameters to arrive at designs that meet their needs while at the same time considering their home building budget. I try to help my clients meet their aspirations, while meeting the many overlapping requirements of structure, code compliance, the building site, exterior design and functional floor plan layouts. I simultaneously consider many things – inspiration, client input, uniqueness, comfort, function, aesthetics, durability, and craftsmanship for the benefit of my clients and their families.
